Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of Profile Audit at profileaudit.co.za, including the free tier and all paid products. By creating an account or using the service, you accept them.
1. What the service does
Profile Audit scores LinkedIn profile and CV text against recruiter expectations, produces prioritised fixes, and (paid tiers) generates expert reports, tailored cover letters and restructured CVs using AI.

3. Payments
All payments are processed by PayFast. We do not see or store your card details. Prices are as displayed at checkout and include applicable South African tax.
4. Quotas and credits
- The free tier allows 2 AI audits per calendar day per account.
- Pro includes 10 apply credits per month. Unused monthly credits do not roll over.
- Purchased top-up credits never expire and are used only after your monthly allocation runs out.
- A failed generation that consumed a credit automatically refunds that credit. You are never charged for nothing delivered.
- Re-running an application is a new use and consumes a new credit.
5. Refunds
If a paid report or application fails to generate, the credit or unlock is refunded automatically. If you were charged for something the service did not deliver at all, contact us and we will refund it. Otherwise, digital goods that have been delivered are not refundable, which is lawful under the Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008 for goods you have used.
6. Subscription, cancellation and downgrades
The Pro subscription runs month to month. Cancel any time from your dashboard; you keep access until the end of the paid month, and it will not renew. We do not lock you in and there is no notice period.
7. Acceptable use
- Submit only your own profile or CV text, or content you are authorised to use. Do not submit other people's personal information without their consent.
- Do not use the service to harass, defame or misrepresent anyone.
- Do not attempt to bypass daily limits, scrape the service, resell access, or probe our infrastructure.
- Do not upload unlawful content.
Accounts that breach these rules may be suspended or deleted. You will not be chased for the balance of a month if we delete your account for abuse — pro-rata refunds are handled case by case.
8. Your content and ours
You keep all rights to the profile and CV text you submit, and to the outputs you generate. We claim no ownership over them. We may use aggregated, de-identified statistics about how the service performs, but your content stays yours and is processed only to deliver the service (see our Privacy Notice).
9. AI output: no guarantees
Audit results, scores, cover letters and CV rewrites are generated by AI. They are advice and drafting help, not professional recruitment services, and they contain no guarantee of interviews or employment. Review everything before you send it. You are responsible for the accuracy of what you submit and for the final documents you choose to use.
10. Availability
We aim for the service to be available continuously, but we do not promise uninterrupted operation. Maintenance, upstream failures and third-party outages (PayFast, email, AI providers) can interrupt the service. Our liability for downtime is limited to credits for the affected period.
11. Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by South African law, our total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the three months before the claim. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded under the Consumer Protection Act.
12. Termination by us
We may suspend or close the service or your account with reasonable notice. If we close your paid account without cause, we refund the unused pro-rata portion of the current month.
13. Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of the Republic of South Africa. Consumers retain all rights under the Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008, including rights in respect of defective goods, and nothing here overrides them.
14. Changes
We may update these terms as the service changes. The current version always lives at this page with its effective date. Material adverse changes to paid products will be flagged to affected subscribers before they take effect.
